Robert Stocklaufer is a 24 year old runner who recently qualified for the Boston marathon! He spent 6 years in the Army National Guard where he discovered running. That is when he made the decision to become the fastest runner for his units PT test which he accomplished by running 2 miles in 10:34. He now has a Marathon PR of 2:43:24 when he placed 2nd overall at Revel Rockies marathon in Colorado.

Stephen L. - 1:40 pacer

Stephen picked up running in late 2010 after realizing that two little curtain climbers needed their dad to be able to romp and play instead of sitting on the couch eating potato chips. Inspired by his brother who had also achieved great health results via running, he trained and completed his first 10k at the TLC Groundhog in January 2011. Since then he has run 5ks, 10ks, 10 mile trail, 20 mile trail, 50K trail, 44 miler at Brew2Brew multiple times, The Hawk 50 mile trail race, a dozen or so full marathons, countless half marathons, sprint and international distance triathlon along with an ironman distance in 2014. His first marathon was the MO Cowbell in St. Charles, MO. The social and all inclusive aspect of running and multi-sport is what keeps Stephen going. Stephen has completed all 6 World Majors Marathons and loves to help others with marathon and half marathon pacing more than anything.

She has been running since high school, but consistently running long distance for about 12 years. She has done at least 10 competitive half marathons and couldn't put a number on how many she has done out of a race setting. Her PR half marathon was in 2008 Lincoln in 1:29. She has run 4 marathons, none in Lincoln. Two she ran as support for a friend and one for her husband most recently. In 2008 she ran Virginia Beach Marathon in 3:13 and in 2009 she ran Boston in 3:14.

Angela S. - 1:50 pacer

Angela is a UESCA certified running coach and has experience running marathons and ultramarathons. She has been running marathons since 2016 and won her first two 50 mile ultramarathons in 2022. A big part of Angela's training involves stroller running which accounts for 60% of her runs. Angela recently joined the SmartPacing team and has high hopes of helping people hit their goals by focusing on breathing correctly, fueling properly, running form, and not starting out too fast. Angela also likes to encourage people to take joy in what their body is able to accomplish and to always set more than one goal for a race.

Wendy has always had a love for running but didn't get serious about it till 2010. She is a wife with three boys and five grandchildren. Wendy has run several half and full marathons even enjoys racing 5K's. Since her youth she has had a dream to Boston Qualify and after some heartbreaks from injuries and breast cancer she finally Boston Qualified in 2018. She finally made it in person for Boston in Oct 2021 after having to run Boston 2020 virtual. Wendy's motto is "Never Give Up". She looks forward to meeting others and helping them reach their goals/dreams.

Scott has been running since high school cross country and also enjoys cycling and triathlon. He has completed numerous half-marathons, marathons, and trail runs. He lives in the Kansas City area with his wife and two boys.

Erika Rayne A. - 2:05 pacer

Erika started her running journey back in March 2014. She has always preferred long distance over short distance, so in 2020 when she heard about ultra running she started getting on the trails. She has run a couple 5k races, over 50ish "official" marathons, a bunch of 50k trail marathons and half marathons, and two 50mile races on the OT 50 trail in Arkansas. She is on the board for Conway Running Club, her town of residence, and a member of the Arkansas Ultra Running Association. She is also on the board for River Valley Runners. She loves to run because it brings her peace and joy. She loves to pace because it's a thrill to see other people hit their goals and PRs at the finish. #Love2Run

Chris is still relatively new to this great sport but truly strives to achieve more than he ever dreamed he could have. He tackled the Time Traveler Half, Liberty Half, Hospital Hill Half, Rock Island Half, and The Garmin Kansas City Marathon within his first year, and hasn’t stopped loving this great community. He has ambitions for bigger and greater goals. Goals like helping others get to their goals.

Mindi started running as an adult for exercise but started adding some distance in 2013 with her first half marathon. Since then she has run several half marathons and 7 full marathons. She enjoys meeting running friends for early morning miles or taking her black lab out for some miles. She is married to a marathon runner and has two energetic boys who play sports. Her family motivates her to stay active. Pacing gives her an opportunity to give back to the running community where she’s found inspiration throughout the years.

Hien Frances starts running late more like in her adulthood, to be honest. She started running a few years back to stay in shape and be active. She signed up for her first 5k and loved it. She has been running numerous 5k, 10k and handful halfs and couple marathons. She believed in RUNNERS HELPING RUNNERs She is new to pacing and excited to help runner to achieve their running goal and have a good time on the course.

Hillary Susz is a distance runner who is passionate about adventure. Her training focuses on improving her ability to climb higher, run farther, and experience more magic and wonder in life and nature. In 2023, she had a podium finish at the Sander's Saunter and top 10 at the Hiawatha Trail Ultra. This year, she will take on new ultra distances on more challenging terrain, as well as cultivate a community of spirted runners through pacing.

As a mother of four children, Amy enjoys both the mental and physical health benefits of running. Growing up with a father who ran regularly, Amy attended many races but didn't start running until after she was married. Now she has completed 34 marathons and many half marathons. Having grown up cheering on her dad and other racers, pacing is great fit for Amy, encouraging others while still being able to run the race too.

Tom ran track and cross-country in high school and mostly 10K’s during and after college. After a couple decades of work and family obligations his physician told him to exercise. Running was familiar and races provided measures of progress. He’s run over 40 marathons, including Boston, Chicago, New York, Berlin, and London along with local marathons, half marathons, 10 and 5K’s. He experienced the advantages of the SmartPacing system and is delighted to share that with you, whether this is a first race, a PR attempt, or a comeback race. He will ease you into an efficient pace, going slow in uphills and faster in downhills, along with strategic walk breaks at aid stations. He’ll encourage you, distract you, and entertain you to your goal. He has paced numerous races over several years and enjoyed helping runners achieve their goals.

Penny's started out as a race volunteer turned runner in 2011. Penny got more serious with running in 2016 and has run over 30 marathons, as well as three 50k and two 50 milers. She has also completed over 135 half marathons, pacing over 30 races. She loves talking running/races and looks forward encouraging others to help reach their goals using the run/walk intervals Galloway method.

Sheree speed-walked her first 5k in 2008. It was so much fun she quickly moved on to running and going longer distances. Sheree has now completed 40 marathons, dozens of half marathons, and multiple trail runs including a few ultras. She must have goals to roll out of bed at the crack of dawn, so entering races keeps her motivated. She absolutely loves running with people and can't wait to encourage you to achieve your goal!
